I love the haiku as well…such a simple and beautiful form to write in. No need to be cautious around me – I’m like a bull in a china shop! Actually, I hadn’t intended for this to be double entendre in any way..it was supposed to be in part 2 of my bellydance haikus. You aren’t the only one to suggest it, though. Guess I did some accidental stuff without even trying!

nice little haiku (one of my favorite forms to write in) and I am cautiously wondering if the title and poem are suggestive of a double meaning … or at least a slightly understated one.

These two verses are utter perfection:

Too many dreams I held like a child in my fragile arms
lifeless and trembling next to the vast ocean

Really? I am intrigued by this..I may have to google the myth and see what else I can find out about it. I am completely unfamiliar so it’s interesting to find out about that connection.

So many great phrases here, hard to find one or two or three to comment on. I guess one stands out, merely because I was reading of Decalion and Pyrrha today and the myth of them picking up stones and tossing them over their shoulders, thereby repopulating the earth after Zeus’ nine day version of the Flood in Greek mythology. So, I like the image of you picking up stones and the connection to determining the meaning of home somehow from this. I will ponder more … thanks for sharing!!
