Indigo princess -
ornate medusa arms
adorned in silver
and cowrie shells,
skirts and veils whirling in flight
ascending to the stars
on temple rugs and bare feet
with the grace of a goddess.
The ebb and flow of her hips
revealing the ancient secrets
of life and rebirth
joy and sorrow
and a woman’s wisdom
while making love
to a thunder of tribal drums
and a warbling chorus of zaghareets..
