It is better to keep something to yourself and be stupid in your head than to express it and be stupid out loud..
but how can you be sure? and what if everyone else has the same stupid thought or question?
That’s how I used to feel, Lisa. Now I’m getting very good at looking stupid out loud:)
Actually, it’s more about how I’m good at saying or doing stuff that I was better off not doing. You know, those ‘oops’ moments..:-)
ok, so who determines what is or isn’t stupid? who judges what is an “oops” and what is a moment of potentiality if seen or accepted differently? could I change one thing about this moment and just let “it” and myself “be”?
Maybe I need to learn to redefine the questions or something …
I always vow to keep the stupidity inside and out of sight but then I get this internal itch to say it and lo and behold, an idiot moment occurs and I am filled with regret. One persons stupidity is another persons only chance to laugh that day. I like to think of it as my contribution to merriment.
That’s a fantastic way to think of it, Val. So from now on, I’m not making myself look silly. Instead, I am the court jester, doing my part to lift the spirits of others!
