Lost to me…
Stolen by winter’s kiss;
her breath freezing your heart
until your words extinguished
our summer warm flames of passion.
When you turned away for the last time,
an empty corpse gliding through the snow,
I burned for the lover
whose eyes glowed in candlelight.
In those melancholy moments,
I dreamed of flowers and snowflakes,
Steamy glances and fiery embraces

Moving Forward

Between cake decorating and preparations for my belly dance haffla, time has flown by these past couple of weeks. I can’t believe another session of cake classes is coming to an end. Next week we attempt to make a basketweave and assemble the final cake. For now I’m buying up stamps, die cuts, card stocks, [...]
In Search of Ducks..

I went for a walk this evening, camera in tow. Strangely enough, this particular evening it was difficult to find ducks. Not to worry, though…they couldn’t hide for long…
I guess the last duck fascinated me. I think he was probably glaring at me in some of these, though…at the very least, I got a warning [...]

What I Would Say To You
You are intelligent
Charming
Witty
Attractive
With a world world of other attributes -

like a crumbling statue.
I just don’t get you.
You are completely amazing
yet you toss it away
in fits of blind chance;
Gambling love tokens
on rigged tables
Battling invisible dragons
with a broken sword
rather than [...]

Recently I’d been toying with the idea of getting rid of the physical copies of the CDs. Most of them have already been [...]

I love endorphin highs.
There is nothing better than surprising someone. My friend had surgery on Wednesday and I decided to spend this evening making a pan of brownies for her. It’s sad, though, that as a result of my decorating classes I can’t even make a simple pan of brownies anymore without doing stuff like [...]

“As much as I converse with sages and heroes, they have very little of my love and admiration. I long for rural and domestic scene, for the warbling of birds and the prattling of my children.” -John Adams
This evening I packed my iPod and some overdue books and made the trek on foot up to [...]
